Production of the Batch of Pipe Billets for Trex-Pipes and Experimental-Industrial Batch of Pipes of Zr1Nb Alloy from Domestic Raw Materials

Abstract: The process of manufacture of the experimental-industrial party of trex-pipes and pipes of fuel assemblies for VVER-type reactors from ingots of Zr1Nb alloy which were obtained from domestic raw materials by vacuum arc melting and electron beam melting has been described. The quality of the initial poured bars for production of round billets has been investigated. Technological charts and temperaturedeformation modes of pressing have been developed. The chemical composition of sheeting for bars during conducting of high temperature deformation has been specified. The previous researches have shown principle possibility of making of hot-pressing round billets
