Modular Repository for Long-term Storage of Low and Intermediate Radioactive Waste

Abstract: Full-scale prototype of modular repository for storage of low and intermediate radioactive waste is developed and manufactured. Prototype of modular repository based on utilized transportation and launch container of strategic launch-vehicle. Composite material for manufacture of radiation-shielding coating of mentioned prototype is investigated and developed. Optimum material's composition meeting the radiation safety requirements for repository personnel is grounded and experimentally approved. Technology of radiation-shielding coating manufacture is refined experimentally. Results of research works promote small-lot production of modular repositories for storage of low and intermediate radioactive waste.
