State Science Reform in Russia: Main Trends and Results

Abstract: The article outlines the main directions of science state reform in the last 5-7 years in Russia: improvement of budget process, changes in science organizational structure including the stimulation of integrating science and education, approaches to solving science stuff problems and innovation stimulation. Based on analysis of the major initiatives several suggestions on possible participation of foreign funds in reforms’ support are formulated.
